To keep our community safe and comply with city and state guidelines, campus access is restricted to those participating in relevant enhanced health and safety guidelines. Please review details and protocols on Barnard's pandemic response site.
2021年秋季， Campus access allows visitors to enjoy the outdoor areas of campus during daytime hours. 访问ors/vendors will primarily enter through the main gate at Broadway and 117th Street. Barnard and Columbia affiliates with current BC/CU ID (participating in current health and safety protocols) use card reader access for campus buildings. Barnard ID Holders who are seeking updates to their card swipe access or to provide authorization for an ID Holder to be provided access can complete this online form. Columbia ID Holders who are seeking updates to their card swipe access can complete this online form.

Card reader access at the main gate (117th & Broadway) is in use between 8:00PM and 6:00AM. Between 11:00PM-6:00AM, the card reader at the main gate will only show approved access for Barnard ID holders, access in the overnight hours is for those living or working on the main campus.

Executive Summary
Access to the Barnard College main campus will be restricted during late-night hours to individuals holding valid Barnard College or Columbia University identification credentials. 的 main campus is bounded by Broadway, Claremont Avenue, 116th Street, and 120th Street.
Reason for the Policy
In order to protect the safety and security of the college community, and in consideration of the very limited number of college-sponsored classes or events during late-night hours, campus access will be monitored and controlled.

Policy Statement
On a daily basis, beginning at 11:00 p.m., access will be restricted to the main gate at 117th and Broadway and the link gate at 119th and Claremont. All persons entering the campus must pass through those gates. Access will be permitted only to those presenting a valid Barnard College or Columbia University identification badge. Guests without such credentials are permitted with an escort; escorts must hold a valid Barnard College or Columbia University identification badge.

- 晚上11点.m., 社区 Safety will close all gates and access to the campus, with the exception of the main gate at 117th and Broadway and the link gate at 119th and Claremont. At the main gate, one leaf of the gate will be closed.
- Any person seeking to enter the campus after 11:00 p.m. will be requested to present valid Barnard College or Columbia University I.D. Upon validation of the I.D., the person will be permitted to enter the campus.
- If a person does not have a valid I.D., they will not be permitted access. However, if they are accompanied by a person with a valid I.D., they may enter as a guest.
- 早上6点.m., all gates will reopen and the campus will return to normal open access.
